Northwestern Systems Corp is a premier North American manufacturer of the BetterBuilt brand of Healthcare and Life Science products marketed worldwide.  We are a privately owned company located on the West Coast of Canada in a suburb of Vancouver, BC, where we employ 70 staff members.

We continue to manufacture the high quality and reliable BetterBuilt line of washers that has been a workhorse in the Laboratory Science industry since the 1950s.  The current BetterBuilt product line has substantial improvements in user-friendly controls, durable non-proprietary components, and numerous options to meet client’s expectations such as fast cycle times and reduced consumption of all utilities.  The original BetterBuilt design of overlapping rotary spray arms is still being used in our product line today with great success.

A milestone year for BetterBuilt occurred in 2005 when we moved into our current manufacturing facility with new state-of-the-art fabrication equipment.  In this same year we introduced two new products; our high efficiency cage and rack washer model R730 and our Sure-Flo™ Bedding Handling System for clean and soiled rodent cage bedding.

Today, BetterBuilt is keeping pace with the growth of the industry by introducing Activ™ Automation Solutions.  A group of products, modular in design, intended specifically for a certain task or function that will increase productivity and worker safety.

Our long history, experience, and attention to client’s needs have allowed us to grow and remain a preferred brand with many long time users.
